ABOUT THE FILM
A small Gulf fishing village’s livelihood is dependent on sea creatures. To stay in the creatures’ favor, they must sacrifice female children to the sea. One girl jeopardizes the community’s fortunes when she rejects her fate and refuses to be sacrificed. What follows challenges both the community’s patriarchal culture and the young girl’s self image.
